Welcome to 1st grade!

My name is Christy Cox.  I have been teaching for 16 years.  I have taught both first grade and third grade.  I grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University.  I moved to Smyrna in 1997 after marrying my high school sweetheart.  We love middle Tennessee and our children have grown up here attending Thurman Francis and Central Magnet Schools.  I have two children: Joshua age 22 who is a graduate of MTSU and Hannah age 19 who is a student at the University of Knoxville.  I am privileged to teach at Smyrna Primary.  It is an amazing school!  We are thrilled you are part of our Husky Community!
