Smyrna Primary Celebrates Learning at ION Showcase
Smyrna Primary School proudly hosted the final ION Showcase of the year, welcoming parents and community members to see students’ learning in action. Each grade level shared engaging projects that highlighted creativity and growth.
Pre-K students explored zoo animals, while Kindergarten students studied favorite books and authors and created projects inspired by their reading. First graders learned about opinion writing and performed a play to show their understanding. Second graders wrote All About Butterflies and created butterfly life cycles using paper plates and pasta.
In the upper grades, third graders researched planets and built solar system models. Fourth graders designed book report cereal boxes and shared their favorite Math and Science learning. Fifth graders wrote summaries of Number the Stars and created a camping trip budget.
The showcase was a wonderful celebration of student learning and a strong school‑family partnership.
